Higher thinking skills through it-based projects

It is the students themselves who demonstrate higher thinking skills and creativity through such activities searching for information, organizing and synthesizing ideas, creating presentation and the likes.

I:RESOURES-BASED PROJECTS

In this project, the teacher steps out of the traditional role of being an content expert and information provider, and instead let the students fin d their own facts and information.
Flow of resource-based projects are:

1.The teacher determines the topic for the examination of the class(e.g. the definition of ‘’man’’)
2.The teacher present the topic to the class.
3.The students find information on the problem/question.
4.Students organize their information in the response to the problem/questions.

The central principle is to make the students go beyond the textbook and curriculum materials. students are also encourage to go to the library, particularly to the modern extension of the modern library, the internet.

Difference between the traditional and resource-based learning approach to instruction:

Traditional learning model
- Traditional learning model
- Traditional learning model
- Traditional learning model
- Traditional learning model
- Traditional learning model

Resource-based learning model
- Teacher is a guide and facilitator
- Source are varied
(print, video, Internet, etc.
- Focus on learning inquiry/quest/d discovery
- Emphasis on process
- Assessment is quantitative and qualitative

Guided hypermedia projects

The production of self-made multimedia project can be approached in two ways:

1.As an instructive tool, such as in the production by students of a powerpoint presentation of selected topic.

2.As a communication tool, such as when student do a multimedia presentation(with text, graphs, photos, audio narration, interviews, video clips, etc.)to stimulate a television news show.

Web-based projects

Students can be made to create and post WebPages on a given topic. but creating WebPages, even single webpage, may be too sophisticated and time consuming for the average student.
It should be said, however that posting of WebPages in the internet allows the student (now the webpage creator)a wider audience. they can also be linked with other related sites in the internet. But as of now, this creativity project may to ambitious as a tool in the teaching-learning process.

    1. Hypermedia is a computer-based information retrieval system that enables a user to gain or provide access to texts, audio and video recordings, photographs and computer graphics related to a particular subject, it is also used as a logical extension of the term hypertext in which graphics, audio, video, plain text and hyperlinks intertwine to create a generally non-linear medium of information while the Resource-based project is a project where the teacher steps out of the traditional role of being an content expert and information provider, and instead let the students find their own facts and information.
